Family

Family, Kazoku, Ohana,

How do build good family ties and close relationships with siblings, parents, spouses and other house mates?
There are probably several important elements in that recipe I do not have the answer to this question, which is why it is so enjoyable to entertain to me.  I love to work on things I enjoy. So I set out by asking my sister
What are the most important elements for a good family? "God and Food"

My aunt told me that some families are in a circle facing away from each other each absorbed in their own passions and the thing that makes them family is that they happen to live in the same house. This family structure is particularly stressed when a certain member doesn't happen to have any passions to work on at the time.

She then presented a second paradigm. Her and my Uncle have purposely tried to build their family facing inwards where all the members are holding hands and what effects one of them effects them all. A good family learn how to care for and understand each other, they work through the passions and work of life together. They grow together and teach each other.

The best way I can think of to try to improve your family is to make it one of your goals every morning
when you wake up think of a few ways you can improve your family life. Talk to your family members individually and let them know that you want to improve family life and ask for their input.
Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.

Work is fun

Vanity of vanities says the Eclesiastist, whatever that is. Although the very wise have said that living seems to be without point as life will continue as it has continued after your gone who knows whether or not your lifes savings will be inherited by a fool even if you were wise in building them. Perhaps then the best conclusion is that there is no point in doing anything.

However the Eclesiastist also mentioned that there is nothing better than that a person enjoys all their toil. I am currently contemplating the meaning of this and though I might make conjectures I must admit that I do not have all the answers as to what it means or why it means what it means. I would like to say that I do enjoy my work, or rather I work at what I enjoy.

For example I enjoy blogging, I also enjoy self help and improvement. I don't really know if I'm any good at either of these things, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that I  enjoy them. One time someone asked me why I am such a successful blogger. I'm not quite sure what he meant by that but I do know that since I've started this blog I've been successful at it because I enjoy it. And I consider enjoyment to be success.

One of my great mentors once told me that the key to success in work is to find what you love to do
and to trick someone into paying you to do it. Follow this advice and your well on your way to success and contentment, That is, as long as your measuring stick is one of enjoyment and fun.
